The article describes the challenges that Project Managers
face as demands and budgets slowly increase, but the talent is not allocated in
a way that sufficiently supplies the demand. This article states that the
proper way to facilitate these increasing demands is to implement an agile
mindset. While the waterfall approach has been successful in the past, the
agile approach provides project managers with the ability to quickly apply
changes to products that need to keep up with the rapidly evolving market
requirements. The article continues to describe the benefits of employees that
have experience in agile project management. Employees with agile experience
will help companies collaborate between departments allowing for projects to
positively affect the company as a whole instead of just the department working
on the project.
The article is related to this class because it describes
the benefits of companies having employees with experience in agile project

though the article does not directly pertain to software development, it states

The information in this article explains the advantages of
applying an agile approach to one’s career. If an MIS student wants to gain an
edge over other students, this article will provide them with a reason and a
starting point to adopting an agile approach to their class projects. The
sooner this approach is implemented into the student’s method of project
management, the more likely they will be able apply this approach to the career
of their choice.
I should use this article to start the class. Liked the point about everything is in the cloud, everyone is remote, hire those who can deal with rapid change, i.e., agile mindset. Good article.
